6 steps / difficulty:

advanced

remove eyeshadow pans from palette. if any eyeshadow residue remains, wash with warm soapy water and allow to dry. towel dry for faster results. be sure both the lid and bottom eyeshadow casing are dry before proceeding.

1.

separate the top and bottom eyeshadow palette pieces. twisting and pulling carefully should ensure safe separation between the two.

2.

locate the four holes on the top and bottom of the eyeshadow palette.  attach string, twine, fishing line, etc. to each hole, and loop around. be sure you are using string that is sturdy enough to hold up the food and water placed into these pieces later.

3.

now that you have assembled your bird bath and bird feeder, find a cozy spot to hang these in your yard or a community space! birds love trees, so find a sturdy branch to hang both new pieces.

*Warning: be sure the branch is strong enough to hold up the bird bath and/or bird feeder. small twigs will not be able to hold the weight of the food or water, bird feeder/bath and bird all together. consider the weight and act accordingly.

4.

now is a good time to fill the pieces with food and water. you can do this ahead of time, but filling afterwards may prevent spilling. observe the pieces after filling to be sure the pieces are sturdy and secure.

5.

step back and give it some time for the birds to recognize their new feeding space. be sure not to scare the birds! observing from a distance or window indoors is best to see your new bird nurturing pieces in action.

please know that you have done your part in creating a new feeding space to promote wild bird survival.
