5 steps / difficulty:

remove any remaining product from the foundation bottle. scrub with warm, soapy water. if product is stubborn, let soak overnight with foundation pump. allow to dry [or towel dry for quicker results before proceeding.

separate foundation bottle and pump. pump can be reused as perch if desired. sticks, popsicle sticks and other found objects can also be used as a perch option onto new bird house.

locate the stringing hole located on the side of the bottle.  loop string, twine, fishing line, etc. through hole, and loop around. be sure you are using string that is sturdy enough to hold up the bird house, and will be sturdy enough to hold the weight of the bird house and bird when housed inside. looping several pieces or using one exceptionally strong type of string to hang bird house is preferred.

secure your newly built birdhouse in an area populated by the birds! your backyard, community area, forest, etc. are great options to hang your newly crafted bird house.

step back and give it some time for the birds to recognize their new living space. be sure not to scare the birds! observing from a distance or window indoors is best to see your new bird house in action.
